We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all our members for your dedication in providing excellent education and fostering scientific research in the field of allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology in the Asia Pacific region.
 
As previously announced, we are thrilled to be partnering with the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society of Singapore (ACIS) to host the APAAACI International Conference 2023, which will take place from October 23rd-26th, 2023. This will be a fantastic opportunity to present your work, learn from and network with colleagues from the region and around the world, and to advance your understanding of the latest research and innovations in the field.
 
In addition, we will continue to further promote collaboration with our colleagues in the region and beyond, including the development of an Individual membership portal for our members.
 
We invite you to join us in all our initiatives as part of the APAAACI Family.
We welcome you to join us for the APAAACI Allergy Week 2023 from 8th to 14th May, 2023, on the theme “One Health One Planet Climate Mitigation and Digital Health”. We especially invite you to participate in the central live webinaron 12th May, 2023 with global leaders from World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) and regional experts.
 
We will also soon launch a new series of webinars to support and bridge the educational gaps in the region.

APAAACI Allergy Week 2023
Join us for the APAAACI Allergy Week 2023 from 8th to 14th May 2023, where we will be celebrating the theme “One Health One Planet Climate Mitigation and Digital Health”. This year’s event highlights the critical role of digital health in managing allergies, asthma, and several non-communicable diseases (NCDs)/ lifestyle diseases, as well as the interconnectedness of human health, animal health, and the environment. This is also aligned with the theme of India’s G20 Presidency this year “One Earth, One Family, One Future”.
 
We are excited to invite you to our central live webinar, which will take place on 12th May 2023 from 6.00pm -8.00pm (CST/SGT/HKT/MYT). This live webinar will be conducted with global experts and organizations and will focus on the impact of climate change on allergic diseases and asthma, and the use of digital health tools and technologies to mitigate the climate crisis.
 
Apart from the webinar, there will be a range of activities and events organized throughout the week, including educational sessions and public awareness campaigns. We invite all our national member societies, colleagues, and friends to participate in the Allergy Week and join us in our crusade for climate action towards mitigation.

APAAACI International Conference 2023
We are excited to announce that registration and abstract submissions are now open for the APAAACI International Conference 2023. The conference will be held in Singapore from October 23-26 and will feature the theme of ‘The Innovation, Revolution: Allergy Asthma and Immunology’.
 
This conference is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field, participate in insightful discussions, and network with your peers. You’ll also have the chance to share your research, case studies, or other work with a global audience of experts in the field.

APAAACI MASTERCLASS on Current updates on Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
We successfully organized another APAAACI MasterClass on 29th March 2023, with the theme “Current updates on Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)”.
 
The MasterClass was moderated by Prof. Bernard Thong (Singapore), and featured talks by global & regional leading experts, Prof. Marcus Maurer (Germany), Dr. Mohamed Abuzakouk (UAE), and Dr. Philip Li (Hong Kong). The program promised to be an informative and engaging session, with a dynamic panel discussion.
 
We are thrilled to announce that we had 748 registrations from 58 countries, demonstrating the global interest and relevance of the topic. The feedback received for the excellent presentations and content was overwhelmingly positive, and we are delighted to have provided such valuable learning opportunities for our participants.
JAAFCA on Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reaction
After a successful run of JAAFCA events in 2022, APAAACI was thrilled to host the first JAAFCA initiative of 2023 on April 17th from 6.00pm to 7.30pm (SGT/HKT/MYT) focusing on Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reactions.
 
The event received an outstanding response, with 550 participants from 41 countries registering for the webinar. The discussions and presentations delivered were informative and up-to-date, providing valuable insights to all attendees.
 
We would like to extend our gratitude to all speakers, moderators, and participants for contributing to the success of the event. We look forward to organizing more events of this kind in the future.
First Edition of the Asia Pacific Allergy Journal with New Publisher, Wolters Kluwer
We are delighted to announce that the Volume 13, Issue 1 oAsia Pacific Allergy (AP Allergy), the official journal of APAAACI in partnership with Wolter Kluwer has been published. This marks the first edition with the new publisher and showcases the significant changes that have taken place. The journal now features a new Editor-in-Chief Prof. Luo Zhang, New Co-Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Ruby Pawankar, new editorial board, and a modern and user-friendly website with updated submission guidelines, editorial policies, and publication standards.
 
The AP Allergy journal is committed to advancing knowledge in the field of allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology, and serves as an invaluable platform for researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals. We invite all members to explore the latest updates on the website, including the recently published articles, and submit their research and scholarly articles for publication. We are confident that AP Allergy will continue to provide high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that contribute to the improvement of patient care, and we look forward to the upcoming issues.
International Women's Day 2023
We are thrilled to have kicked off the International Women’s Day 2023 campaign with inspiring messages from women leaders across the world and disciplines. APAAACI is committed to promoting gender equality and recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in healthcare and research.
 
As part of our campaign, throughout the month we had the privilege of hearing to inspiring women leaders and trailblazers from around the globe across different disciplines, sharing their personal experiences and perspectives on gender parity and equity.
 
We invite all members to join us in supporting this vision for a more inclusive future. Let’s continue to celebrate and empower women not just on International Women’s Day but every day.

APAAACI's Publication on Penicillin Allergy in 'ALLERGY' Journal
We are delighted to announce the publication of an article by APAAACI in the renowned journal ‘Allergy’. The article titled “Disparities and inequalities of penicillin allergy in the Asia-Pacific region” is now available on the journal’s website.
 
We applaud the efforts of the authors in bringing attention to this important issue and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of allergy and clinical immunology. We encourage all members to read the article and share it with their colleagues.
APAAACI CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE (ACE)
We are excited to announce that the application submission is now open for the APAAACI Centers of Excellence (ACE). The ACE is designed to recognize multidisciplinary academic medical institutions/centers in the Asia Pacific region and beyond, that are actively promoting innovation, education, research, and advocacy in allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology. 
 
The ACE will create a platform for researchers and clinicians delivering excellence in education, training, research and patient care in allergy, asthma and clinical immunology.
 
Merits of becoming an ACE
  • Opportunity to collaborate with APAAACI on educational programs, resources, committees and congresses
  • Scientific support in the development and dissemination of publications / educational resources
  • Cross collaboration with other Centers of Excellence regionally and globally to form international multi-Center projects, joint mentorship, research fellowships
